Astron Packaging installs their second Durst Tau330 RSC

The company has been making a name for themselves in the self-adhesive labels market and includes clientele across industries such as cosmetic, beverage, fast-moving consumer goods, oil and lubricant, pharmaceutical, automobiles and agriculture.

“ The decision to install the second Durst press was easy. Our first installation in 2016 of  the press was a huge success and it has been functioning seamlessly ever since,” said Niraj Darji, president of Astron packaging.

“We did scour the market for the currently available options in this segment but eventually concluded to proceed with Durst Tau 330 RSC for its consistent quality, high productivity and very economical production cost, which are all factors that enable us to offer high-quality labels and packaging solutions to our customers in UAE,” he added.

The Durst Tau330 RSC press is a single-pass UV inkjet technology (drop on demand + variable drop size) equipment with Dimatix Samba G3L print head technology. It can accept a wide range of substrate for multiple applications such as Labels, Cartons, IML, PBL & ABL Lamitube, Flexible packing & Aluminum foil from 20 - 500 microns and runs at a speed of 52 Lin. m/mts to 80 lin. m/mts

Chennai-based Printronics the official partner of Durst for their label and packaging segment handled deal end-to-end from the sales to the successful installation.

“The after-sales support from Printronics also played a key role in this deal. They have been excellent for the first press and we expect the same sort of support for the new installation as well,” concluded Darji.
