Now, Kochi-based award-winning firm Anaswara has produced calendar called, Ba-Bapu 150 Year's Anniversary. Designed by Blackboard in Kochi, the calendar celebrates the work of Kanu Gandhi. As Anoop Venugopal said, "Kanu Gandhi who is Bapu’s grand nephew was designated as his official photographer. He was fortunate to record Ba and Bapu’s life from close quarters on a daily basis."

Kanu Gandhi had a keen interest in photography, but Mahatma Gandhi who was thrifty told him there was no money to purchase a camera. Since the child did not relent, Gandhi requested Ghanshyam Das Birla to gift Rs 100 to buy the camera and a film roll.

Since then, until Gandhi's assassination in 1948, Kanu Gandhi shot 2,000 pictures.

The time duration for the Anaswara project from design to completion was two months and included searching for rare images of India's greatest leader.

Anoop Venugopal added, "2019 is the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. It was a very special project for us and the foreword is written by Tushar A Gandhi, the great-grandson of Kasturba and Mahatma Gandhi."

He concluded, "We believe these are rare images are these images are getting reproduced for the first time in print. To get the subtle finish of reproducing the duotone images to halftone, we chose the best matt paper and matt coating to recreate the nostalgic feel."
