Alok is a man divided by three; print, sports and Gandhian philosophy. The third generation at Prabhat Printing Works, in his next 14 years in the industry (he wishes to retire at 50), Munot would like to travel across 100 cultures, live another 100 years.

There are many to be enlisted. From sheet transfer systems, to ink control systems, the water control systems, the automisation in post-press, the CTP and many such. All these are unique to the print businesses.

Our organisation’s mantra is, live together like one big family, collective growth.

What do you prefer: a mentor in the industry or brain storming with like-aged?
My mentor is like-aged.

For a working lunch if you met the PM of India, what would you talk to him about?
One, fire half the government staff or more. Send the other half to night school and two, exploit the untapped potential of female work force in India.

One person who impressed you with wisdom. Why?
Hyuma Mahadevia. Because with him around, you don’t need Google. Ask him anything, he would know!

Cat naps? 10 hour snooze? Or catch up on sleep during the weekend?
Not even on the weekends.

What’s the first thing you do on entering the office?
I check my things-to-do list, then proceed to meet the staff while walking through each department.

What technology has made the biggest difference to your business?
Press automisation.
