Nagpur-based entrepreneur Arun Singhania, decided to quit his job at a private company in Mumbai and started Softlink Scanner 20 years ago. His journey began with Xerox’s digital kit in 2003 and ever since he installed predominantly Xerox devices. The raft of Xerox products at Softlink include the Xerox 1000, Versant 3100 and D110.

Singhania has witnessed a shift in customer demand over the years from offset to digital printing. He observes that the customers are now more informed and aware about their choices and needs. He states that there is a visible demand for short-run jobs as customers do not have time and expect a quicker turn around. In tune with the market, he has added the latest technology for higher customer satisfaction.

Softlink Scanner’s business caters to freelancers, jobbers, regular printers as well as end users. They offer post-press solutions like binding and lamination in addition to quality print services. Customers come to Softlink Scanner for its unique ability to deliver high quality prints in super quick timelines. The company has a turnover of Rs 4-5 crore per annum.

Singhania also highlights that the customers seek technologies that can help boost creativity and add more value on regular visiting cards, menu cards etc. In Nagpur, he heads two digital houses, one in Modern Mill Chowk and the other on Shukrawari road.
