Chang'an Lu of PEIAC welcomes the delegates at Asia Pacific Day in China

China Print 2017 opened its gate on 9 May with 1,60,000 sq/mtrs and 1,300 exhibitors in Beijing is expecting over 2,00,000 visitors. China Print 2017 is scheduled from 9 to 13 May 2017.

China Print also hosted Asia Pacific Day on the first day, where 150 printers from the Associations belonging to 15 countries were in attendance.

Chang'an Lu, president of Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC) welcomed the delegates at the Asia-Pacific Day held during China Print 2017.

Lu said, "China's print market is formed by the rapid growth of a domestic economy. After developing at an astonishing speed over years, the print market in China gradually evolves ito a deep adjustment phase. The speed of the development slowed down but still maintains an overall stability, with an annual growth rate o 4-6%."

"In 2016, domestic printing enterprises above designated size realised main operating revenue of RMB 788-bn at an annual growth rate of 4.5%. Packaging printing, including label printing, account for 75% of the main operating revenue of domestic printing enterprises," added Lu.

AIFMP president Kamal Chopra also spoke at the Asia Pacific Day. Chopra applauded the China Print organiser for putting up a great show. He said, "We should be 'proud to be a printer."

Chopra gave an an overview of the Indian print industry, and said that AIFMP will be hosting a print show in December, which promises to be a big show, though not as big as China Print.
