Pamex 2020 Visitors speak: Venu Ayyar

Tampering is the most common issue being faced these days. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur has come up with a 3DS brand protection label that can be applied on any product. Consumers can scan the label using an app called Checko and verify the authenticity of the product without connectivity. The concept of tamper-proof packaging might not seem new, but this application was something new to me.

Apart from this, I saw SPB Machinery manufacturing paper containers. The containers may look similar to the plastic ones, but they are made of paper and can have various applications. It’s a very good product and it caught my attention. The containers they produce are sturdy as well as eco-friendly. The PE used in it is also easily recyclable.

I hope to see such technological developments in the coming months which are cost-effective and innovative.
