Where do you learn the tricks of the trade? In an executive education programme or on the job?
MBA eased the understanding of business. Later, hands-on experience in the field along with my father, who has been serving the industry since 35 years, helped a great deal in shaping the start of my career in a well defined way.
What is your greatest print / business achievement to date?
At Any Graphics, we work like a team and our greatest achievement (since the start of my career) is to be able to create innovations like Fresnel lens effect, natural feel effect and good quality printing work and thus make a name in the packaging industry (mono cartons) comparable to that in the label label business since 25 years.
What technology has made the biggest difference to your business?
I think, Fresnel lens packaging made the biggest difference to our business. It is one of the most challenging technology to incorporate in the mono cartons business but since we were determined we eventually became the first and the only ones, so far, to make Fresnel lens mono cartons in India. The uniqueness of 3-dimensional view on pack is aesthetically pleasing and adds a security feature to the package, making it easy for the end-user to identify.
What do you prefer: a mentor in the industry or brain storming with like-aged?
My mentor is my father, Kuldip Goel, whom I would prefer over anybody any day. But brain storming with like-aged always brings new ideas on table.
The most frequently used mantra in your organisation? Your motto in life?
Mantra: Delight customers beyond satisfaction and always stay open, learn everyday
My Motto: Take Any Graphics to new heights of print quality, customer delight, and innovation and at the same time make difference to the print industry and the world.
What’s the first thing you do on entering the office?
Pray to the deity at our office temple.
When you see a great piece of print created by your competitor, what is your reaction?
Appreciate it. Anybody who creates a great piece of print is contributing in a way to the Indian printing industry. I have often called and congratulated our competitors on their great work.
If you were NOT in this industry, you would have ...
Never thought about it. Started contributing in tiny ways as possible since my class Xth summer holidays.
