Winkler+Dünnebier AG Acquires Business Operations of Buhrs ITM GmbH

A press release from Winkler+Dünnebier AG, Neuwied (W+D) announced that on October 6 they have acquired the business operations of Buhrs, based in Löhne, Germany.

Buhrs ITM has been the world's fourth largest provider of highly efficient and flexible system solutions for automated envelope insertion. The acquisition agreement is effective October 2, 2010.

According to the company press release, the company will offer the entire existing product range and services under the name "W+D Direct Marketing Solutions GmbH" from its location in Löhne, Germany.

It is planned to complement the company's current product portfolio with exciting new developments in the area of advanced inserting solutions for direct mail. With the acquisition of Buhrs ITM GmbH, W+D has strategically strengthened its position as a leading supplier of envelope, direct mail and direct marketing production systems and solutions.
