Ink association announces speaker line-up for its international conference on 6 December

The All India Printing Ink Manufacturers’ Association (AIPIMA) has announced its line-up of speakers for the International Conference on global trends in inks and coating. The one-day conference will be held on 6 December, a day prior to the Asia Coat + Ink Show 2012, to be held at the Nehru Centre in Mumbai from 7-9 December, 2012.

Key ink and coating professional, industry and thought leaders will share solutions geared specifically to engage, exchange and push boundaries of the ink and coating segment. It will also provide an update on latest technologies in printing ink and coating, particularly in the packaging segment.

P Raghava Raju, president of AIPIMA, said that the International Conference agenda is rich content structured to meet the needs and challenges of ink makers, suppliers of raw material and user, that is the print-packaging managers and professionals, allowing them to explore the next big shift in the print industry. “Our speaker line-up for this conference is as impressive as it's been at our previous conferences.”

MM Sharma, ex-director of UDCT and a renowned chemical engineer and technologist for surface coating industry will deliver the keynote address. Other key speakers include Suresh Gupta, executive chairman of Paper Products (Huhtamaki’s flexible packaging companies) - on Special Effects Pigments and Inks for Packaging; Kim Dixon, technical director of Nobel, Thailand -  on water-based developments for printing inks and lamination adhesives for flexible packaging; a presentation by Peter van der Zwan, marketing polymer dispersions and resins for adhesive, printing and packaging at BASF; Tibor von Hanko and Rabin Ghosh of Eckart – on special effects pigments and inks for packaging; Richrd Bradley of Lubrizol – on optimisation of processing and press performance efficiency and world ink market; plus an interactive session with Purnendu Sen, ex-technical director at Times of India Group on evolution of web printing, among others.
