Bodhi‘s colour management seminar in Pune

Bengalore-based pre-press specialist, Bodhi Professional Solutions, took its knowledge sharing initiative, Demystifying PQM, to Pune. The company conducted a seminar on colour management and standardisation on 9 August, 2014 in which over 100 participants from in and around Pune attended the seminar.

The seminar was arranged by The Poona Press Owners Assocation. Bodhi was supported by partners Benq India and X-Rite India.

Satish Nayak, CTO of Bodhi and an Ugra PSO auditor, explained the basics of colour and its importance in various stages of print production. “Colour management is nothing but 99% management and 1% colour, that is the mantra,” he said.

In an interactive presentation, Nayak also taught the gathering some of the best practices like use of D50 lights and color measurement instruments and scientific method of LAB.

Tarun Chopra, also a Ugra PSO expert and the other key speaker at the seminar, said, “Printing is no longer a form of art and it is more mechanised and scientific and with the use of right ISO standards, we have many benefits in terms of reducing the wastage and time taken on press and also helps color consistency and eliminate human errors.”

Bodhi has announced that its series of Demystifying PQM seminar will be hosted in various metro and non-metro cities.
