Arrow Digital showcases short-run label solutions at Pamex
Arrow Digital showcased the ArrowJet Aqua 330R at Pamex, offering water-based, food-safe digital label printing designed for short-run production and variable data customisation

Aryan Tambe of Arrow Digital explained that the ArrowJet Aqua 330R is intended for businesses that require high-quality labels in smaller quantities, bridging the gap for manufacturers who typically rely on high-volume flexographic or gravure setups.
The machine is positioned as an efficient solution for batch sizes ranging from 500 to 4,000 units. A key feature of the Aqua 330R is its support for variable data printing (VDP), which allows for information to be printed on each label within a single run. This capability is often cost-prohibitive for traditional printing methods due to high setup requirements.
The system utilises Memjet DuraFlex water-based pigment inkjet technology and operates as a CMYK single-pass printer. Arrow Digital also displayed an accompanying easy-cut machine, which functions as a label cutter and slitter, automatically adjusting to specific label sizes directly from the roll.
Sustainability and food safety are central themes for the product. Tambe noted that the water-based pigment inks used in the machine are suitable for food packaging as they do not contain the oils often found in traditional inks. He described the product as a safe and sustainable option for the food industry.
For Arrow Digital, the exhibition serves as a platform to target established industry players looking to transition into digital workflows. By demonstrating that digital printing can be cost-effective for short-run jobs, the company aims to encourage wider adoption of digital technology.
