M N Pandey, who is director of the firm said, “The operations at the new facility will commence in June. The investment in C7010 VP, the fourth Canon press Avantika has invested in, is targetted to enhance the production capacities of the firm.”

Additionally, the firm will invest Rs 1.2 crore in its existing facility in order to accelerate production.

“We have commissioned an Oce Varioprint 6160 ultra line mono-colour printing press and a single clamp book binder from Welbound with PUR binding technology so as to strengthen our hold in the publishing industry. PUR will help us devise an operating plan which aids in faster turnaround and top quality. Traditional binding processes can’t do so. A paper creasing machine is on the cards too,” said Pandey.

Avantika has also added a Konica Minolta KM 6000 digital printing machine to their exisiting setup to meet pad printing demand in banner size.

Pandey was very gung-ho about Drupa and he said, “Our plans are big; and Drupa helps us dream
bigger.”
