Zund India conducts open house to announce its expansion plans in India

Zund India, the subsidiary of Switzerland-based Zund Systemtechnik, the manufacturer of digital cutting table conducted a open house in Bengaluru to announce its future plans for the Indian and South Asian markets.

In 2012, Zund established its Indian operation by setting up an office in Bengaluru. According to the company, this will enable easier access for their Indian customers.

Housed in a 2,000sq/ft two storied building, Zund India has incorporated a demo centre to showcase complete design and cutting solutions for the graphic art, packaging, leather, textile and speciality industrial application.

Mike Zund, chief executive officer at Zund Systemtechnik, said, “We are happy to establish our Indian office. This will bring us closer to our existing and future customers.” Sanjib Baruah, country manager at Zund India, said, “With the quality Swiss product supported by the competent team in India and the business partners, the Zund vision will pervade.”

At the one day event, Zund India announced its plans to open the Zund Knowledge Centre by the end of 2013. 

Baruah said, “The Knowledge Centre will be aimed at educating the industry on the digital design and finishing concept.”

With more than 17,000 systems installed worldwide, Zund’s Indian operations are still in a nascent stage with just over 100 systems in India and South Asia market.
