The PX300 and PX500 are driven by Xerox's Print Server

The new Proficio PX300 and PX500, based on Fujifilm's 85ppm and 100ppm Revoria print engines, mark a new chapter for Xerox's production printing. The "Proficio" brand, derived from the Latin word meaning to make progress and succeed, reflects Xerox's commitment to innovation.

For Indian print providers, these presses offer exciting prospects. They boast Ultra HD print resolution and an optional fifth color station, allowing for clear, low gloss clear, and fluorescent pink for extended gamut production. This means more vibrant and diverse printing options, which can be a game-changer for businesses looking to differentiate their offerings in a competitive market.

Driving these new presses is the Xerox Print Server, powered by the Fiery FS700X digital frontend. This, combined with Xerox's "platform approach" to automation, AI-assisted know-how, FreeFlow workflow, and XMPie personalisation software, aims to streamline operations and boost profitability for print businesses.

Xerox plans a regional rollout of these new digital presses next year, with orders commencing in March and shipping expected in the second half of 2026. While pricing details are currently under wraps, Xerox assures that they will be market competitive, making these advanced solutions accessible to a wider range of Indian businesses.

This announcement comes amidst a busy period for Xerox, following its partnership with Kyocera for new cut-sheet inkjet presses and the acquisition of laser printer manufacturer Lexmark. These strategic moves underscore Xerox's "reinvention" strategy, aiming to solidify its leadership in the global printing industry and, by extension, offer more cutting-edge solutions.
