Virtual.Drupa 2021: Finland’s Iscent Oy roots for sustainability

Finland-based Iscent Oy is showing environmental-friendly optical features and holograms on packaging applications at the Virtual.Drupa 2021.

According to Dr Jaakko Raukola, he is optimistic about the industry in 2021, as packaging printing and applications are active – even in times of the pandemic. “However, customer reactions and investment decision processes are slow,” he said.

He added that Iscent Oy machines can support environmental issues, such as no waste in production, no chemicals, no VOC – adding optical attraction to packages without additional materials.

He added that new environment-friendly solutions are the next big thing for graphics and packaging segments.
