Narayan Murthy opened Nirmala Press at One Town in Vijayawada in 1948. Murthy’s son PVG Bhaskar transformed the letterpress setup into multicolour printing facility with a line of offset presses and other equipment and renamed it Nirmala Offset Printers in 1998 at Gandhinagar, Vijayawada.

Continuing this transformation, the company unveiled Nirmala Cards & Stationery as its new exclusive wedding card printing division, joined by Bhaskar’s son Harshit Parimi.

“Now, my focus is on Nirmala Cards & Stationery, where 90% of our activities are devoted to printing and production of luxury wedding invitation cards,” Harshit Parimi, partner at Nirmala Cards & Stationery, said.

He said the Ricoh Pro C7200x’s fully loaded features and flexibility meet all the requirements at Nirmala Cards. Here, Harshit is joined by his younger brother, Giridhar Parimi.

Nirmala Colours — an extension of Nirmala Cards & Stationery — is another special unit for specialised wedding cards. “Our main aim is to produce such wedding cards that inimitably impress guests and remain as a memorable piece for the couples,” Harshit said. He mentions that Rioch Pro C7200x’s advanced features like the fifth colour station surpass what usual CMYK-presses could do in adding head-turning effects on graphic prints using the extra special colour gamut.

Certainly, capable to operate at the speed of 85-ppm, Ricoh Pro C7200x delivers high-value applications in the industry’s leading print resolution of 2,400×4,800-dpi and extra special colours using the dexterity of its fifth colour station. “White, gold, silver, clear, neon yellow, neon pink and IVR toner colour capacity of this Ricoh press has opened up tremendous creative opportunities for us,” Harshit said, adding that it outstandingly takes on a broad range of light and heavyweight media comprising metallic, dark, magnetic, adhesive, synthetic, etc, weighing up to 360-gsm, and even oversized sheets up to 13×49.6-inch are also supported.

“In addition to the Ricoh Pro C7200x, we are running another Rioch digital production press from Monotech Systems, which is a Ricoh Pro 8300s for high-volume monochrome print production,” Harshit said.

He added, “Our digital capacity and offset ability with a line of four-colour, two-colour Mitsubishi presses and Heidelberg finishing machines is an amalgamation of two technologies which eventually helps us produce not only luxury wedding cards but also other elegant products like brochures, catalogues, calendars, retail magazines, etc.”

Backed by a team of 45 printing professionals engaging collectively in all divisions, Nirmala Cards & Stationery has thus upped their real game of luxury wedding card printing following the installation of the fully loaded Ricoh Pro C7200x from Monotech Systems, which Harshit appreciates equally for the machine and unconditional after-sales service support.

The company is now working for customers from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Odisha, but looking ahead for further expansion with new machines and manpower.
