The new expansion will significantly enhance the production capacity of Bennett & Coleman’s ten newspaper titles including the Times Of India and The Economic Times.

Speaking to Drupa report daily, Peter Kuisle, member of the executive board at Manroland Web Systems said, “Every third newspaper world-wide, gets printed on a Manrolannd web press. We have one-third the worldwide market share for web presses and are leading providers in both heatset and coldest presses.”

Regioman features the “world’s most successful 4-1 printing concept”. The press is capable of printing four full-colour broadsheets (front and back) in a single pass.

TOI has a long term relationship with Manroland with multiple press lines of Colorman, Geoman, Regioman and Cromoman installed at numerous production sites across India.

The web systems at Bennett & Coleman’s production sites are complimented by Ferag’s mailroom system and the company is considering yet another mailroom system from Ferag at Drupa to accommodate newspaper production from its newly purchased Regioman presses.

“We reach more than 400 million readers daily and are proud to be associated with Times of India in their latest expansion plans,” concluded Kuisle.
