Gawas: Has printed over one-lakh sheets producing on the Revoria was installed early this month

“Speed and quality of Fujifilm Revoria are really revolutionary. Our evaluation of buying a new digital press was under process and the entry of Fujifilm with Insight excited us to go for it,” said Gawas, the founder and director at Suraj.com.

The Revoria, installed at Suraj.com early in January  2022, is Goa’s first, and India’s second installation.

The new press supports a broad range of stocks – 52 gsm lightweight paper, and up to 400 gsm heavyweight paper. It is capable of handling different sizes ranging from a minimum of 98x148mm up to 330x1,200mm in simplex printing and 330x729mm in duplex printing.

“With the Revoria, we wanted to really expand the bounds of our digital print capability. We have printed on a variety of substrates including dark coloured stocks, heavily textured stocks, and a variety of synthetic stocks including clear materials, we have also run multiple passes through the press to create a texture effect. This machine delivers out-of-the-box productivity with stunning output,” added Teena, marketing manager at Suraj.com.

Since the installation, Suraj.com has printed over one-lakh sheets producing different commercial print applications using speciality colours – gold, silver and clear.

Revoria PC 1120 allows underlay and overlay printing in one pass. An additional special colour, pink toner, enhances the print aesthetic. “The fluorescent colours of the pink toner expands the colour gamut significantly, thus resulting in vibrant printouts, especially on people’s images showing vivid colours and with smoother skin tones,” said Teena.

According to Ashish Save, director at Insight Print Communication, the Indian representative for Fujifilm, the Revoria PC 1120 is empowered with an air suction feeder, which enables the machine to print on a variety of media without the risk of double and misfeeding. On the other hand, a static eliminator makes it easy to stack and align film and metallic media without them sticking together. “AI-based photo quality optimisation can enhance and correct RGB image quickly and effortlessly based on the photo’s existing state.”

Print speed is up to 136 A4ppm and the printers use EA-Eco toner with very small particle size for “high image and fine line quality” at 2,400dpi.

Kentaro Imafuku, head of the department for graphic arts division at Fujifilm India, commented, “The Revoria PC 1120 press sits in the high-end digital printing domain. The machine, with its six- stations and 10-colour options, gives a unique ability to the customer to create a variety of effects along with CMYK, which increases the application gamut. At the same time, its fast speed of 120 ppm and a versatile front-end software caters to large volume printing.” Imafuku added, “It’s a wonderful combination of value and volume.”
