Pramendra Sharma, founder, Shree Devi Packaging, said, “We are expanding and increasing our production, and the five manual die-cutting machines we had were not enough to cope with the printing. So, we decided to go for a new die-cutting machine. We settled on the DGM because of our relation with Puneet, the after-sales service of the company and the market feedback.”

He said that DGM Technocut 1050 is an automated machine with all features. “With this, we are able to die-cut paper as well as three-ply B-flute corrugated sheets smoothly. We do tight registration jobs too on the Technocut die-cutter,” he said, adding, “We are happy to opt for DGM as our partner because of the machine performance and professional approach towards after-sales support and training the machine crew.”

Sharma diversified his family business of paper trading to start the packaging-printing company in 2008 with an India-made folder-gluer in a 1,000-sqft area.

He said the turning point for his business was the company’s association with Romsons, a surgical disposal equipment manufacturing company, in 2011-12. Now Shree Devi serves FMCG, pharma, food and brush industries.

“We have multiple India-made folder-gluers. We produce mono cartons and offset-printed corrugated cartons. We have a printing partner which is 100% dedicated to us,” Sharma said.

Shree Devi converts around 170 tonnes of substrates per month, including 90 tonnes of paper and board along with 80 tonnes of kraft, with a team of 70 people in a 12-hour shift.

The company’s annual turnover is Rs 24-crore, and Sharma said he is working to make it double.

Recently, the second generation, Rohit Sharma, joined the business, and Sharma said the sales have doubled after his son joined the company.

Sharma has the vision to establish an advanced packaging plant with all the operations under one roof, with a focus on pharma packaging.
