Screen Printer 2015: Lustra Print Process (Tie)

Two winners of PrintWeek India Awards 2014, Lustra Print and Spectrum Scan, share the PrintWeek India Screen Printer of the Year Award.

 

Winner of 2014 Brochure and Catalogue Printer of the Year, Lustra has great pedigree when it comes to screen printing and this shows in the samples submitted. The judges voted for Lustra based on its display entries. The Asha table mat was printed on 175 micron polycarbonate pasted on 2mm white foam sheet. As it was printed by four-colour halftone screen printing, it involved the use of four process colours followed by a pearlescent finish, followed by white all printed on reverse.

 

For the Deep freeze body display panel, for a refrigerator, the clients asked for a metallic finish, which was achieved by the use of silver brush foil.

 

All Lustra samples used polycarbonate sheets and positive film making through Imagesetter. All the entries were printed on a Svecia.
