Sage Response turns 25

A small spark can sometimes start big revolutions. Sage Response is proof of this. It all started in 1995 when Sage India established Sage Response to cater to the Indian business and management community. As SAGE Response celebrates 25 years of transforming business and management practices, it would be illuminating to look back at its journey so far.

Sage Response has developed an enviable list of original titles by working with professionals and management experts both nationally and internationally. In this, it has had the support of both professionals and academics, who have trusted the imprint with their work and inputs. The rich, informative and lucid content of these books have benefited aspiring managers, working professionals, practitioners, and students. Sage Response combines creative strategies with innovative ideas that can give Indian professionals an edge, allowing them to compete with global business practices. Aspiring professionals, business practitioners and students have strengthened and honed their skills with the carefully curated content of Sage Response titles.

On this special occasion, Aarti David, director – publishing at Sage India, said, “Sage Response has grown over the years and shaped into a much sought-after list of books by professionals and students alike. We have been fortunate to have the trust of respected academics who have consistently published with us through the years. We are equally proud of the fact that we provided an equal platform for first-time authors while we continued on our mission to building bridges to knowledge. Many of these authors’ books have gone on to become bestsellers. Believing in our authors and the high-quality content they bring to the table has built credibility for the brand and has been the USP of our list. Twenty-five years is no mean feat. And we feel extremely proud and humbled at the same time at having reached this far.”

For twenty-five years, the imprint has published an active frontline list of close to 300 titles, which include Quest for Restoring Financial Stability in India by RBI’s former deputy governor Viral Acharya, Attitude is Everything: Achieving Hair Raising Profits in Business by celebrity hairstylist Javed Habib, Who Blunders and How: The Dumb Side of the Corporate World by Robin Banerjee, Transformational Leadership in Banking: Challenges of Governance, Leadership and HR in a Digital and Disruptive World, edited by Anil K Khandelwal, Performance Management by TV Rao, The Handbook of Competency Mapping by Seema Sanghi, The Life of Y by Debashish Sengupta, Walk the Talk by Anjali Hazarika, and Winning on HR Analytics by Ramesh Soundararajan and Kuldeep Singh, among many others.
