PrintWeek Awards 2019: Manohar Packaging wins Packaging Converter of the Year (Carton)

As Mumbai-based Manohar Packaging takes home the trophy in the category, Kolkata-based CDC Printers manages to impress the Jury enough with its samples to earn a commendation.

The carton for Wood Burns Contemporary Indian Whiskey, with a run-length of 20,000, is a four-colour job with gold foil and 3D emboss. The highlight of the job is the eye-catching tactile effect achieved through screen printing. The special feature of the carton is butterfly tuck in for bottle fitment.

The Jack Daniels Old No 7 Festive Edition, with a run-length of 24,000, is a unique celebration pack with foil stamping and emboss.

The font side of the pack was printed in black with blind UV and the back side was printed in black and tactile screen.

The Star Walker ultra premium blended whiskey, with a run-length of 25,000, has a window to showcase the imported glass that comes with the liquor bottle. The backside printing also adds to the appeal of the pack.

Besides window-patching, other post-press work include gold foiling, screen printing, and foil stamping.

8 PM special edition grain blended whiskey, with a run-length of 25,000, is a limited edition promotional pack, where the brand name is highlighted in the background of textured UV.
