The new firm in Jhansi which is yet to be named is headed by brothers Keshav Singh Rathore and KK Rathore. The firm has a staff of four people and does a daily production of 800 sq/ft. It hopes to add another 400 sq/ft quality print with the help of new machine.

KK Rathore said: "We bought this machine for some high-quality printing. Flex rates have gone down and the margins for profit are coming down. So we needed a machine capable to get us a premium price with its quality and consistency.

"This is our second wide-format machine and we will use this for new work," added Keshav Rathore.

Kapil Wadhwa, sales manager at Infiniti said: "YF 180 uses Epson DX-5 printheads that offers quality digital prints. The printer uses inks from Epson and the ink cost per sq/ft of print area is almost at flex prices, so a printer can earn more from this machine."

The YF 180 outputs 150 sq/ft per hour in quality mode with a printable area of six feet, "which is one higher than five feet offerings of competitors," added Wadhwa.

Jhansi is a niche market and has six wide-format printers who serve the signage and display customers.
