PrintPack 2019: Provin unveils Smart Glass remote service module for RMGT presses
On the eve of PrintPack India 2019, RMGT’s India representative, Provin Technos, demonstrated Smart Glass android-based wearable remote service concept for RMGT presses at a press briefing.

Vinay Kaushal, director, Provin Technos, said, “This unique innovation was introduced by RMGT during IGAS 2018 and India becomes the first country outside Japan where this concept will be demonstrated.”
This wearable remote assist system investigates local situation of press troubles that customer faces and guides and instructs how to take troubleshooting and counter action for the recovery.
“With the implementation of this system, our customers will be able to get real-time service support by getting connected to our service support server using the Smart Glass device,” added Kaushal.
The Smart Glass device is capable of transferring live feed with data transfer and on-the-spot notes, plus the service support engineer can examine the information and advice the user remotely.
“The effective downtime can be significantly minimised using this technology,” added Kaushal.
