The five new launches include Foliant automatic thermal lamination machine, Axy cutter, Hfx-Foil Xpress - CTF machine, Maxit adhesive system and Hwpb 18 wiro punching and binding machine.

According to Parag Shah, the star product at Hi-Tech’s stand is its Foliant automatic thermal lamination machine, which comes with an option of foiling. The machine does spot foiling and spot lamination.

“The Foliant automatic thermal lamination machine is compact and enables quick makeready, with warm-up time less than ten minutes. Its speed is 18-m/min and it comes with an option of spot foiling and spot lamination. It has a performance of 1,500 B2/hour,” Shah said.

The Maxit adhesive system consists of hotmelt adhesives and motorised roller-coaters. The hotmelt adhesives are designed for album book blocks, duplexing, business cards and invitations.

The wiro punching and binding machine has an advanced motor and a special-made mechanical clutch that ensures the motor can run continuously. It has different die options available, along with the availability of punching and closing features for 3:1 and 2:1 wiro sizes.

“The Maxit system is used for creating duplex or triplex cards for high-cost papers, to avoid the paper getting dirty because of glue marks. The wiro and punching machine is electric, heavy duty and compact product which can do about 10,000 calendars a day,” added Shah.

The 25+ booked orders comprise of four orders of the Foliant machine; two of the wiro and punching machine; 20+ orders of the other smaller machines. "We will cross a hundred orders by the end of the exhibition. Total 50% of our orders comes from of existing customers, and many of them are visiting the show to finalise their orders.”

Hi-Tech's digital die-cutter has an auto-sheet input capacity of up to 100 sheets with the help of the auto-feeder system. It consists of an air-powered, variable jet stream sheet separation system.

‘Profit through productivity and performance’ is the theme of Hi-Tech’s stand. All the machines provided by Hi-Tech are single phase and focus on waste reduction.

“All our machines focus on zero wastage and focuses to solve the problems that offset printers usually face - wastage of 2-3%. Our machines are environment-friendly and don’t cause pollution. The binding machines are odourless and emit no fumes at all. Also, at the show, the machines are run by final-year printing students, which indicate that the machines are very easy to run.”

Sharing his view on the Union budget, Shah said, “We expect that the Budget will help us because there's more money in the market and the amount of liquid currency has increased.”

He added, “The industry is looking at a GDP growth of 3%. Printers are realising that they must offer complete solutions as what their customer want is a finished product, and not just a sheet."
