The press has now been booked by New Delhi’s Excell Graphics, which specialises in producing premium labels with hot-stamping for wine, automobile, chemical and food industries. This will be the company’s second Lombardi flexo press.

The three-decade-old Excell’s New Delhi label plant, besides the Lombardi press, houses a Mark Andy P5 and three letterpress machines. All the flexo presses are eight-colour and letterpress are seven-colour machines. The flexo machines have cold foil, turnbar, delam-relam, and Corona unit.

“The 17-inch Lombardi presses are fitted with chillers which allows us to print on film with a thickness from 12 to 400-microns,” said Shashwat Bansal, a partner at Excell. “The online Bravo flat screen unit will allow us to print decorations like embossing effect without the expense of the tools.”

According to Bansal, his company’s business grew by 25%, and that was one of the reason that for the investment in a second Lombardi. “Our label production jumped to 3.5-lakh sqm per month. With the induction of the new Lombardi, we hope to take it to over 5-lakh sqm per month,” said Bansal.

For Vinsak, Excell is one of its esteemed customers for more than two decades now. Neeraj Sharma, executive director at Vinsak, said, “This Lombardi Synchroline is a repeat order within two years of the installation of the first machine. A repeat order is always a great pleasure for us as it reinforces the customer confidence in the equipment as well as Vinsak's support. We look forward to strengthening the relationship even further in 2019.”
