Prime Minister releases two books by Spenta Multimedia

Two books published by Mumbai-based Spenta Multimedia, ‘Making of Kumbh, Prayagraj 2019’ and ‘Timeless Laxman’ were released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 16 and 18 December respectively.

Making of Kumbh, Prayagraj 2019, depicting the vision, challenges and milestones achieved in preparing for Kumbh 2019 in Prayagraj, was released in the Triveni Sangam area in Prayagraj, where the Prime Minister also inaugurated the state-of-the-art command and control centre for Kumbh Mela as well as other projects. UP governor Ram Naik and chief minister Yogi Adityanath were also on the dais.

The 49-day Kumbh Mela begins on 15 January 2019. Over 12 crore people are expected to visit Prayagraj Kumbh Mela 2019. In December 2017, UNESCO recognised Kumbh Mela as an ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity’.

Meanwhile, Timeless Laxman, a book portraying the life and works of legendary cartoonist late RK Laxman, was released in the Raj Bhawan in Mumbai in the presence of Maharashtra governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, Spenta Multimedia Chairman Maneck Davar and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Modi said the book highlighting the rich work of RK Laxman, especially the cartoonist’s Common Man, is a timely reminder of India’s unity in diversity.

Spenta Multimedia works with eminent personalities and business houses to publish and print coffee table and limited edition books of several genres, including art, architecture, food and beverage, and Indian culture, offering publishing services right from conceptualisation, editorial, design, printing and distribution.
