The event that is slated to commence at 6 pm will see Datta Deshpande, director of Pratham Technologies and Yogeshwar Kumawat, marketing manager (print-inspection) make a presentation at the seminar.

The presentation will showcase details about the products and its features. Also, few of the existing users of the Supersort machine will share their experience about the machine. Deshpande said, “Our primary focus at the event will be the question and answer round, wherein queries regarding the machine will be addressed.”

Deshpande said, “We found that it is necessary to have a dialogue with the carton manufacturers and remove any misconception and help them take appropriate decision while selecting such product.” He further added that “Carton Forum provides an excellent platform to network with printers and converters across India and meet them collectively at Mumbai.”

Pratham has manufactured Supersort 100% carton inspection system in collaboration with Vision Experts, wherein the software and illumination system is made in Germany while feeder, inspections conveyor, ejector and the other supplementary systems are manufactured at Pratham.

“Pharma companies, in particular, have started asking the converters to invest in systems that can provide foolproof cartons. Also, for exports, there is a need for traceability and audit records for each carton. This has triggered the demand for inspection machines in the market,” said Deshpande.

As per the demand from the customer, the system is available in various models, starting from a single camera up to three cameras and from both front and back side.

The speed of the machine is 200m/min. It works out to be 50,000 cartons per hour for smaller cartons and 20,000 cartons per hour for larger cartons. The machine can handle a maximum size of 500X500 mm.
