Pragati Pack wins two awards at Flint Annual Narrow Web Print Awards 2013

Hyderabad-based Pragati Pack won two awards at the recently held Annual Narrow Web Print Awards. The winning entries were announced during the Labelexpo Europe.

Pragati win accolades in two categories: UV Flexo and Security Label. The company competed with over 50 entries in the UV Flexo category and won the award for its Coeur de Lion label. In security printing category, the company's winning entry was an excise seal label produced for the Government of New Delhi.
 
Commenting on the win, Narendra Paruchuri, managing director, Pragati Pack said, "We feelelated to have made it in the competitive categories: UV FLexo and Security Label. It is a fact that the perception of any product is made more positive with a better label and we are happy that we are adding to it. Security labels will be a big vertical in the near future, as we can incorporate large amount of data on label with it - It is useful as a security feature, to track and trace and authenticate. We are very happy we won in the two categories"
 
Sreenivas Goud, general manager sales - narrow web, Flint Group added, "We had over 20 entered from India competing against around 137 entries received from Flint customers across the world. It's a proud moment for India because UV Flexo is the most competitive category in the awards."

“We look for print quality, difficulty, registration and the line integrity. If it’s a fine screen, then a 200 line screen score more compared to a 150 line screen. The entry submitted by Pragati stood out in the largest category we have in our awards,” she added.
 
"There is a general perception that the printing companies of developing countries are more compromising and less focused towards quality. However, the growing number of honours that Indian printers have been receiving at different platforms negates this myth.”
 
“One of the key suggestions to any label printer expecting to look at the global market would be to concentrate on the registration. Although, the level of the print quality is increasingly getting better each year but at the same time, everybody can print but to get the finest quality the operator needs to get the registration spot on,” said one of the jury members.
