The judges named two companies as joint winners for this category – Hitech Print Systems from Hyderabad and Perfact Color Digital Prints, the digital print specialist from Gurgaon, Haryana.

The judges were impressed with the power of variable data printing (VDP) demonstrated by the two companies. “These companies have added element like security features that exemplify how VDP/personalisation can impact a document,” said one judge.

Hitech Print Systems won the Award for the variable data printing of students data along with 2D barcode. The data was segregated centre code-wise and district-wise for distribution in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The special feature of the job was inline variable data printing along with static printing with Kodak Versamark 6240 in 240dpi for variable printing. The Muller Martini Grapha Progress press was used to print two colours on the front and one colour on the reverse with 2D barcode.

The company used BILT Lucky Parchment to ensure long-life of the certificate.

Perfact Color Digi Print won the Award for the recently executed degrees and marksheets for various universities. The certificates were non-reproducible, 100 years of guaranteed shelf-life and multiple security features including a unique decoder sheet, which when put on the patch, the variable information becomes visible. Importantly, the decoder sheet works on the photocopy as well.

Perfact Color Digi Print is a digital print specialist with capabilities for products ranging from VDP for banking and insurance sector, POD collaterals, photo verticals for personalised coffee table wedding books and specialised applications for manufacturing and health care industry.

The company is equipped with iGens, DC 7000, DP 180s, Nuveras, HP 5500. Plus softwares from XMPie, GMC and FreeFlow. Plus it is powered by post-press kit from Morgana, Kern, Welbound and Rhonituff.
