The launch event, held on 28 June at the customer’s site, brought together key players from the publishing and printing community across North India. The event featured a live demonstration of the Vegapress 660C HD in action, showcasing its unmatched print quality and advanced capabilities.

The demonstration was followed by an engaging networking session and a celebratory gathering, creating a vibrant platform for industry leaders to exchange ideas and explore new opportunities enabled by this breakthrough installation.

Parshvi Graphics and Kamal Sons are sister-concern companies founded in 2002 with a vision to deliver best-in-class printing and packaging solutions. Led by a dynamic trio Anuj Jain, founder and promoter of Parshvi Graphics, Karan Gupta, founder and promoter of Kamal Sons, and Anchit Jain, director at Parshvi, the group brings vast experience, deep industry knowledge, and a shared passion for driving innovation and excellence in the printing and packaging industry.

“We are truly excited to embark on this new journey with the Atexco Vegapress. As a market leader in packaging, this advanced press now enables us to expand into short-run book printing for publishers across India. It opens up a world of new applications for us, from customised paper bags for our packaging division to textile inserts, bespoke packaging, on-demand books and magazines, OMR sheets, direct mail, and much more. With its ability to handle paper from 40- to 200-gsm, we have the flexibility to experiment and deliver innovative solutions to our customers,” Anuj Jain, speaking at the launch event, conveyed his excitement and optimism for this new chapter.

The Atexco Vegapress 660C HD can handle paper reels up to 660-mm and is equipped with 48 print heads, delivering speeds of up to 150-m/min. This press is designed to print vibrant colors on both coated and uncoated paper. Additionally, it features an integrated cutting and slitting unit, allowing the printed material to be finished into complete book blocks ready for binding, streamlining the entire production process.

“We are witnessing a clear shift of offset printers towards advanced webpress inkjet technology, and partnering with Parshvi for this milestone installation is a moment of pride for us. The Atexco Vegapress 660C HD is the first of its kind in India, and with Parshvi’s vision, we look forward to exploring many applications beyond just books and publishing. This marks our 15th Vegapress installation in India, reaffirming our position as the market leader, powered by our strong application expertise and dedicated service team,” Ajay Aggarwal, MD & CEO at Insight Print Communications, said.

“I first came across this press at Drupa and was truly impressed by what it could do. After seeing it run in China, I was convinced this is the future of printing. I knew we had to be the first to bring it to India and stay ahead of the curve,” Anchit Jain said.

The Atexco Vegapress is available in two different web widths, 440-mm and 660-mm, to suit varying production needs. For customers looking to enter the digital inkjet webpress market at a smaller scale, Insight also offers a compact ‘mini press’ option. This technology significantly reduces waste, manpower requirements, and logistics costs, while also eliminating the need to stock and handle over 35 different raw materials typically used in traditional printing, all leading to a smaller production footprint and greater operational efficiency.
