PackPlus 2018: Naph Graphics highlights Slitline 35

Naph Graphics, the manufacturer of web offset printing presses and a new entrant in slittin-rewinding machines manufacturing, highlighted its Slitline 35 during PackPlus 2018, held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 25 to 28 July. Incidentally, Naph had launched the slitter-rewinder during PackPlus 2016. The company has so far notched five installations of the machine.

Different models of Slitline 35 can run at mechanical speed of 350, 450, 650m/min and can handle plain, coated or metalised films, foil or paper laminates from 12 to 200 microns and paper and board from 40 to 200gsm.

Mohit Bansal of Naph Graphics said, “We have more 20 years of experience in manufacturing web offset printing presses. We were looking for diversification and since packaging industry is growing, and the future looks optimistic, we decided to enter into manufacturing of slitter-rewinders.”

Of the five machines the company has installed, four are shafted and one is without shaft. The shaftless model was launched in the last edition of PackPlus South. This was the second time the product was displayed at PackPlus Delhi.

“We are getting positive response from the market,” Bansal added.

Noida-based Barflex Polyfilms (taken over by Sati Polyplast) has installed two machines; and Sonipat-based Svam Packaging has purchased one machine. Sojat, Rajasthan-based Flexi Plast Industries has installed the shaftless kit.

Bansal, the second generation of the business, said though he is optimistic, the competition is tough as there are many manufactures. “We are new to the segment, so we cannot comment on growth and profit as yet,” he concluded.
