Omansh Industries has strengthened its mono carton converting line with the installation of a DGM Technocut 1050S automatic die-cutter with stripping and a DGM SmartFold 1100SL folder-gluer, the flagship SL configuration designed for straight-line, lock-bottom, double-wall and complex four- and six-corner cartons.

The Technocut 1050S, with a maximum speed of 7,500-sph, 300 tonne cutting force and capability to process carton board, solid board and corrugated up to 4-mm, includes non-stop delivery, side and front joggers and an advanced register table designed for sheet control.

The SmartFold 1100SL, running up to 400-m/min, supports materials up to 800-gsm and corrugated flutes N, E, F, equipped with 180 degrees first crease and 135 degrees third crease pre-folding, removable central carriers and modular add-ons for precision gluing and packaging. Together, the two machines form the core of Omansh’s push toward faster, higher-volume, and more complex carton production.

For Akash Garg of Omansh Industries, the investment was as much about capability as it was about dependable support. “We installed the DGM die-cutter and the SmartFold folder-gluer because we needed machines that could hold our hand while we grew,” he said. “In our plant, 99% of issues need to be addressed the same day. DGM’s team has been outstanding. Even when they’re busy, they ensure our work is prioritised the next morning.”

According to Garg, DGM’s responsiveness played a defining role during the company’s transition from job work to full in-house production. “When you’re new, you need moral support as much as technical support. DGM was a part of that ecosystem,” he said.

Omansh currently converts around six lakh sheets per month, but has a capacity to produce 15 lakh sheet including mono cartons and three-ply sheets once automatic line stabilises. The Technocut 1050S has reduced makereadies and improved consistency, while the SmartFold 1100SL has opened up four- and six-corner work that previously required outsourcing. “Our goal was to build a setup where quality and continuity never break. DGM helped us get there,” Garg added.

Some time in the future, the company plans to add few more machine to add new capabilities in post-press and eventually a second automatic line once it reaches its INR 25-crore turnover target. As Garg puts it, “Our target is clear: stabilise operations, reach 25 crore turnover, and then expand with a second plant.”
