Krishna Kant Kedia, founder, National Printers, said, “Most of our printing presses are from Heidelberg. So we installed the Suprasetter to get better synchronisation between press and pre-press.”

While Kedia confirmed that the thermal CTP has definitely helped improve quality, he added that due to the impact of Covid-19, the company has yet to explore the full potential of the CTP.

On using Heidelberg, Kedia said, “In our experience of more than 25 years, and visiting exhibitions such as Drupa and looking at all world-class printing machine manufacturers, we found Heidelberg to be most reasonable, sturdy and technologically advanced supplier in every segment it is in.”

He added that Heidelberg has given the company the advantage of CIP4 connectivity with the press in term of digitised workflow. “The Saphira plates bundled with Heidelberg Suprasetter, and Prinect workflow with inline press connectivity increase total productivity, quality and reduce makeready wastage in the presses,” he added.

National Printers was established in 1991 at the small town of Daltonganj in Jharkhand. The first mono printing press from HMT was installed in 1995. In 2001, Kedia went for a partnership with Ashok Agarwal in Ranchi. Today, National Printers plant covers approximately 2,00,000-sqft area with three units.

With two directors  — Kedia and Ashok Agarwal — running the company, National Printers entertains customers from all segments, including commercial, books, packaging and government works.

Indukalpa Saikia, sales manager –eastern region, Heidelberg India, said, “We are happy with the recent investment from National Printers, a key and long-time customer. This coupled with Prinect Proman, and Saphira consumables nicely rounds up our offerings from pre-press and press. Our service team worked swiftly and efficiently and completed the installation even during this Covid time.”
