Adpack Limited, incorporated in 2012, has grown into one of East Africa’s leading manufacturers of woven polypropylene sacks and FIBC jumbo bags. The company serves sectors including agriculture, fertiliser, sugar, coffee, food, animal feeds and industrial products, producing millions of bags each month at its Nairobi facility.

“Our main objectives were to improve transparency across departments, strengthen data accuracy, and build a single source of truth for decision-making,” said Saheel Shah, director, Adpack Limited. “We also wanted to streamline production planning, reduce waste, and enhance accountability across our supply chain.”

Shah explained that the ERP provides real-time insights into production, sales and financial metrics, supporting the company’s strategic growth plans. “By improving efficiency and reporting, we are better positioned to expand into new markets and serve larger clients with confidence,” he said.

The system covers essential functions including finance and accounting, inventory management, production and quality control, and sales and dispatch. Custom dashboards were created to track KPIs such as waste percentages, output efficiency, and contribution margin per kilo. The ERP is also integrated with Adpack’s machine-level production reporting and sales tracking tools. “Data capturing and integration with weight scales” and “easy traceability across orders, from raw material to delivery” were features Shah said the team valued most.

The implementation took approximately six months from initial planning to go-live, followed by three months of fine-tuning and training. “Initially, there was resistance due to new workflows. Over time, adoption has improved, and staff now recognise the benefits of reduced duplication and easier reporting,” Shah noted.

Adpack opted for a hybrid hosting setup, with core servers hosted securely and accessible via cloud to ensure redundancy, user flexibility and data security. The company receives continuous support from Kiran Consultants, including periodic training, bug fixes and upgrades, and the vendor has been responsive to customisation requests.

Overall satisfaction with the ERP is generally high. “Teams now have visibility on data that was previously fragmented, though we continue to refine processes to maximise its impact,” Shah said.

With this ERP investment, along with new extrusion, printing and lamination equipment, solar infrastructure and innovations such as GrainGard, an insect-control packaging solution, Adpack continues to strengthen efficiency, governance and sustainability across its operations.

“we are happy that our Make in India Flexibiz ERP software for the Printing and packaging industry is gaining international recognition. We currently have ongoing implementations in West Africa and middle east – again cementing the products place in the international arena. We would be participating and demonstrating our ERP in the upcoming Plastindia Expo to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, India from 5th - 10th Feb, 2026. We invite all Indian and international packaging converters to visit us there.” Gaurav Bansal, Director, Kiran consultants.

On the recent developments side, We have revamped our Software UI and introduced Artificial intelligence (AI) feature to do departmental performance review on a month to month basis and guide the department on the pointers where it is lacking behind.
