Mathrubhumi’s ‘I Am Kalam’ initiative wins silver at Applause Awards 2017

Kerala-based Mathrubhumi media group wins a silver medal at the e4m Business World Applause Awards 2017 held at The Lalit Hotel, Mumbai.

The Group won the silver award for I Am Kalam Science Exhibition entry under the category ‘Best use of Integrated Marketing Communication’. The objective of the initiative was to nurture young talents to develop a well-rounded mind through creative learning experience using various mediums in the field of science. The exhibition was conducted at selected cities in Kerala and managed by its events management division RED MIC. The exhibition competition showcased the work done by the student’s in form of science project, report, boards, models etc.

The award was received by Dhanya Shyam, senior executive, business development, Red Mic (the event management division of Mathrubhumi) along with George Sebastian – senior general manager, marketing, Mathrubhumi Group.

The total of 350 entries was judged by the award jury chaired by Karan Baja, SVP & GM, South Asia, Discovery Communications India.

MV Shreyams Kumar, joint managing director, Mathurbhumi Group, said, “This is a remarkable achievement for our company. The initiative was as unique as its name and provided a platform for the young minds of today in exhibiting their talents and strengths in the field of science. I congratulate my team for demonstrating such high - quality work which they have done so far. We shall continue to keep our efforts going and hope to get more acclaimed recognition in the years to come.”
