The late Mahendra Jain was a true karma-yogi, a visionary, a mentor and an institution himself. He has left behind a legacy and has carved his name in our hearts. He has been my mentor and will be in my heart for life.

A name that lives in millions of educated aspiring youths, the news of his passing away has left us in tears. He was someone we cannot even dream to live without.

In last four decades, something amazing happened when youngsters in Hindi heartland entwined their fate with Pratiyogita Darpan and their faith made our Group what it is today.

Across India, lakhs of readers owe their success to Pratiyoigta Darpan and tear-sheets compilation of editorials written by Mahendra Jain are their treasure, their proud possession.

Starting with a modest beginning to help Hindi medium aspirants with quality content, his initiative to empower common candidates with knowledge and spreading consciousness, had bore fruits. Now, be it Pratiyogita Darpan Group magazines, wide range of books by Upkar Prakashan or may be Upkar Stationary (Taj White), there is something to touch each and every educated and aspiring Indian, a dream that was envisioned by him long back.

He inspired the team at Upkar Group to knack for quality, which is evident in each and every product that we manufacture with our state of art machines and is acknowledged world over for paper, print and production quality.

Even a day before his demise, he was busy mentoring us and was keenly waiting for the IAS 2019 results.

It is time of grief and sorrow. Sadness seems bottomless; still, we are back to work to carry out his unfinished work.

I, along with the team at Pratiyogita Darpan, value the trust readers have showed and assure them of the same impeccable passion, quality, services and staying relevant.
