“It’s been 11 years for the HP Indigo 4500, and we required an upgrade. We have been using HP technology for so long now that we are aware of the pros and cons. In my opinion, the HP Indigo 6900 is the best press available for digital label printing,” said Denver Annunciation, director at Janus, soon after signing the deal at Labelexpo Europe 2019 show.
The seven-colour HP Indigo 6900 can print on supported substrates thickness ranging from 12 to 450 microns at a speed of up to 40 m/min in full colour and can print all the HP’s ElectroInk – metallic ink, UV invisible inks, fluorescent inks.
The upgraded kit will enable Janus to digital print wrap-around labels, pouches, IML, lamitubes, security labels, pressure sensitive, shrink sleeves as well as folding cartons. “We will get quicker not only in production but also quickly match Pantones. More ink options will enable us to boost our offerings to the label market,” said Annunciation.
Janus was the first label converter to install a HP Indigo label press in India. “Janus installed the HP Indigo 4500 way back in 2008,” said A Appadurai, country head for HP Indigo in India. “We say, the minimum life of a HP Indigo kit is seven years, but I am glad to informed you that not just Janus, there are many customers who have gone beyond the stated seven years. That a good enough proof that these machines are made of metal, and can last forever.”
Annunciation has been a keen marketer of Janus’ products, showcasing it at various food and beverages shows. He is also one of the Dscoop board member in India and has been active in spreading the knowledge in the market. “Janus is a very special customer for HP and Annunciation a very helpful person. He put forward every application Janus produces into the market to understand what is changing.”
