Kurz India has chosen to support the PrintWeek Awards 2025 as the Embellishment Partner.
Jitendeer Pal Singh said, “Our partnership celebrates printers who combine aesthetics, functionality and sustainability. By supporting this category, we want to encourage the Indian print community to adopt new benchmarks in creativity and responsible innovation.”
The company’s latest transfer film technologies form the foundation of this vision. Solutions such as the KPS slim and slim 2.0 ranges deliver high gloss and registration accuracy, while the Slim Technology platform reduces carrier thickness to 10-μm for hot stamping and 6-μm for cold transfer. Singh stated, “Slim carriers give printers longer running lengths and smoother operations while achieving outstanding visual impact.” He added that overprintable GIO films enable seamless colour integration with UV and oxidative inks, opening new design possibilities.
Precision tooling and NanoEmbossing also create ultra-fine relief and tactile effects that help converters deliver shelf-ready packaging with greater visual and sensory appeal. At the same time, Kurz has expanded its sustainability focus with initiatives such as the Recosys 2.0 recycling system, which turns used carriers into rPET granules. Singh explained, “We are pioneering a closed-loop approach that enhances circularity. With material-efficient carriers, dry stamping processes and low-energy digital transfer, we are aligning decoration with global sustainability standards.”
Kurz continues to extend its product portfolio for distinctive packaging. New developments include the DM-Jetliner 2D for inline metallisation of paper and plastic labels, the DM-Maxliner 3D for tactile relief, and Light line designs that create dynamic light play. Trustseal SFX holographic elements and Ecofin CSO transfer films further expand options for high-definition visual accents and cold transfer efficiency.
Singh said these technologies reflect Kurz India’s wider alignment with the PrintWeek Awards’ mission. “Our innovations empower Indian converters to meet and exceed global aesthetic and functional standards. Sponsorship of this category reinforces our role as a catalyst for excellence, inspiring printers to aim for world-class recognition.”
