Kottayam’s Print Gallery invests in Canon

Sijumon Varghese, managing director, Print Gallery, said, “Earlier, we used to run a Canon imagePRESS C7010VP, then switched to another production engine from a different reputable brand. Still, we continued to feel the need for a more advanced and capable digital colour production press, which we finally found in the iPR V1350.” 

He continues, “My affiliation with the brand Canon dates back to our early days in Hyderabad, where we started ICards, a one-stop destination for ID card printing and production, which my younger brother, Mani Varghese, is currently taking care of.”

When it comes to launching Print Gallery, it began with Varghese’s passion for printing. He said, “I did my education in Kurnool city in Andhra Pradesh, where my father PT Varghese, an entrepreneur, managed a tyre retreading business. I’m a portrait artist. A big turning point for me was completing graphic design courses in Kottayam and Ernakulam, after which I decided to build a career in printing, with a special focus on commercial printing and innovative production outputs. So, Print Gallery was launched.”

According to Varghese, his decision to bring iPR V1350 to Print Gallery’s setup just a few months back was the right move. “In fact, since my experience at ICards, where I installed a unit of iPR V1350 alongside other Canon systems like iPR C8000VP, iPR V900, a couple of ImageRunner Advance DX 8786 presses for monochrome print production, etc, I have been totally smitten by Canon. So, it was quite obvious for me to go for Canon when I decided to invest in a high-end production press for Print Gallery.”
