Konica Minolta India aims to reach out to higher education landscape

Konica Minolta Business Solutions recently participated in the Zonal Vice Chancellors’ Meets organised by the Association of Indian Universities. The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is the apex body of higher education in India which organises the zonal and national vice-chancellors’ meet every year. During these meets, matters relating to higher education, with a specific reference to the university system in the concerned region, are taken up for discussions.

During the VC Meet held at Mumbai, Chandigarh, Pondicherry, Bhopal, and Shillong, Konica Minolta showcased its mono and colour machines. The guests also got the chance to visit the Konica Minolta display zone and witnessed live demonstrations of its machines at the events, and discussed on Konica Minolta’s machines, its features, and the solutions it provides. Konica Minolta India supported these zonal meets as an official printing solution provider, facilitating the printing of the agendas, notices, and workshop and research papers during the conferences.

The VC Meets are one of the major events organised by the country’s university fraternity, and the five zonal meets held recently were attended by more than 200 VCs from various universities. The events also saw the presence of distinguished guests like Sachin Tendulkar in Mumbai, the additional secretary – higher education Dr SS Sandhu (IAS) in Chandigarh, Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi (IPS) in Pondicherry, the state minister for education in Shillong, and by Jitu Patwari, minister of sports and youth welfare and higher education – Madhya Pradesh, who attended the zonal meet in Bhopal as the chief guest.

Through the University VC Meets, AIU aims to serve as a liaison between the universities and the government, and to cooperate with other universities or bodies (national or international) in matters of common interest. Furthermore, the company envisions a greater role in organising and facilitating conferences, seminars, workshops, lectures, and research on various themes pertaining to higher education.
