Khushi Ram, Ace Graphics invest in Xerox Adaptive CMYK+ kits

Ludhiana, Punjab-based Khushi Ram & Sons Foods and Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala-based Ace Graphics & Offset Press became the first two customers in India to invest in the Xerox Versant 180 with Adaptive CMYM+ kit. The technology kit adds seven specialty colours — gold, silver, white, clear and fluorescent colours of yellow, magenta and cyan — to an existing production press, enabling instant digital print enhancements. The kit can transform the four-colour Xerox Versant 180 press into an 11-colour ‘Beyond CMYK’ press capable of creating a million colour hues and shades — without the need of huge investment in a new press.

Both the customer print sweets boxes; wedding cards; greeting cards; designer catalogues and brochures; retail signages; POS material; certificates; menu cards; window-cling stickers, posters, among others.

“We are a trusted supplier for quality Indian sweets. Since we opened in 1932, we have learned that you build a brand with your reputation for quality and innovation. We cater to our customers with added capabilities in wedding cards, unique boxes and specialised return favours,” Akshat Gupta, director, Khushi Ram & Sons, said. “The Versant 180 with the Adaptive CMYM+ kit has added to our state-of-the-art infrastructure. It will help us provide our customers with what they need to celebrate life’s important events.”

Ajith Simon, proprietor, Ace Graphics, said, “We’re taking our commercial printing business to the next level by enabling shorter run jobs with unique digital print enhancements. Xerox is a trusted brand that provides best in class colour reproduction. The Adaptive CMYK+ kit for the Versant 180 creates vivid and fluorescent colours enabling innumerable opportunities to add value to applications. With an expanded colour palette and embellishments, we can now attract new customers and capitalise on the early bird advantage.”

The Xerox Versant 180 is a mid-production colour press which helps users gain a competitive edge, attract new business, increase margins and earn a reputation for excellence. It provides users with greater capacity, output and enhanced automation features and a new standard of image quality with Ultra HD 10-bit resolution with four times more pixels than other presses. The press offers a speed of up to 100-ppm and can print volumes to the tune of 250,000 pages/ month, thereby fuelling new business growth levels for our customers.

The Adaptive kit is easy to use, with just a few simple steps — and in about ten minutes — one can remove the CMYK toner set and replace it with Specialty Toners able to print unique and stunning applications in a single pass.

There are three different Adaptive CMYK+ kit options to choose from — Xerox Vivid kit (gold, silver, white and clear), Xerox Fluorescent Kit (cyan, magenta and yellow) and the Combination Xerox Vivid + Fluorescent kit for all 11 colours. It works with EFI DFE versions of the Versant 180 and Versant 180 with performance package.

With the Xerox Adaptive CMYK+ kits, existing Xerox Versant 180 owners can move into the embellishment market and offer more metallic and fluorescent prints across high-growth applications such as greeting cards, flyers, invitations, posters, signage, gift vouchers, and more. Print providers can increase profit margins on digital print enhancements between 50 and 400% more than on regular print.
