Jyoti Graphics invests in Thermostar

Subhra Jyoti Roy of Jyoti Graphics said the system was chosen for its robustness and consistency of imaging, as well as for the reliability and quality it offers. 

“TechNova guided us on technical as well as commercial benefits, and we diversified into pre-press. Before that, we were outsourcing our plates and were under the impression that a new technology is not viable for us. But we learned the process as well as ROI. We’ve built a solid, trusting relationship with TechNova. This is the reason behind the investment in Thrmoster T9,” Roy said.

He added, “Today, the number of jobs is increasing and run lengths are going down. Today, customers demand fast delivery. Therefore, to satisfy customer’s expectations, every solution should be in-house.”
Roy said suitable manpower is the biggest challenge to run a CTP unit. 

Jyoti Graphics is incorporated in 1990 by the late Deba Jyoti Roy and Anga Jyoti Roy with a DTP centre and a digital printer. Gradually, the company expanded to digital printing with laser printers. The company entered into the commercial printing segment in 2007 and soon established itself as one of the pioneers in the print industry in eastern India. 

The company is fully equipped with in-house pre-press and post-press set-up, plus offset press from sizes A3 to B1. 

The company is into commercial printing as well as packaging printing. It focuses on all kinds of commercial prints, calendars, books, rigid box manufacturing, labels, mono cartons and inserts, etc.

On using the Thermostar T9 HS, Roy said, “We have built a strong pre-press team, and it has adopted the technology. It is a user-friendly machine; we find it very easy to use even though it is our first CTP system. TechNova trained our team, and we are getting support immediately if any issue occurs. After installation, I am still not facing any challenges, but I believe in TechNova. They will support us to overcome any challenges regarding the plate."
