International ink conference on 28 February, 2015

All India Printing Ink Manufacturer's Association (AIPIMA)'s international ink conference will kick-off on 28 February, 2015 along the sidelines of the Asia Coat and Ink Show. The day long international conference on printing inks and coatings, "Trends, Issues and Way Forward" is being held at Hotel Lalit.

With several eminent international and indian speakers at the forum, the conference will be hosted in five sessions, with each session signifying the conference theme. The conference is set to be inaugurated by NC Saha, director, Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP).

Session one, focussed on print buyers, will present the global trends in the current FMCH segments; packaging of soaps, detergents and household consumables; foods, confectionaries and beverages; personal care products. The hosts will be Yeshukant, senior manager procurement, Hindustan Unilever, Sameer Mehandale, vice president packaging development, Mondelez and KM Lakshminarayanan, ex-Colgate respectively.

Session two will discuss the latest developments and trends in the printing industry. Iqbal Kherodawala of Printline Reproductions will speak on offset technology, Ajay Mehta of SMI Coated will speak on labels, Sanat Hazra, technical director, Bennett Coleman on print and publications and A Venkatrangan of Huhtamaki-PPL on flexible packaging.

Session three and four are interactive panel discussion sessions on innovations in raw materials for printing ink industry, moderated by BB Sen of Asha Penn Color and discussions with CEO's of printing ink industry which will be moderated by Ramu Ramanathan of PrintWeek India.

The panelists for the session three include Torsten Schmelich, regional head of technical service, Eckart, Jesus Santamaria, business manager- South Asia for Lubrizol and Sinta Lay, marketing head- dispersion and resin, Asia Pacific for BASF.

 
The panelists for session four include, VK Seth of Sakata Inx, Ashwani Bhardhwaj of Micro Inks, Yasuo Ikeda, COO of DIC India and BS Kampani of Toyo Inks.
 
 
Session five will be on business motivativation by Anil Lamba, a chartered accountant, speaking on  why businesses fail.
 
The delegate fees for the conference is Rs 2250, all inclusive and for overseas delegates USD 35.
