Presstek is offering 75DI as an intermediate technology between offset and digital.

Available in four-to ten-colour configurations, it utilises waterless technology and prints at 16,000 sheets per hour for B2 (29 inches) size and above. An in-line aqueous coater and a range of productivity enhancing options can be added to the press. It features an automated support for 300lpi (lines per inch) and FM screening and has a small footprint.

The company spokesperson relates the Infotrends findings to the press's relative positioning in comparison "to digital inkjet and toner-based printers as well as conventional offset presses."

Presstek will present a live demo of the machine at Drupa in Hall 4 booth B03. The white paper is available for download on the Presstek website.

Mumbai-based Nippon Color is the exclusive dealer for Presstek presses in india.
