Heidelberg, Sri Kaliswari sign pact for Masterwork demo centre in Sivakasi

Heidelberg India has entered into an agreement with the Sri Kaliswari Group to establish a live demonstration and training centre for MK Masterwork post-press technologies in Sivakasi. The partnership follows a memorandum of understanding signed on 15 October 2025 in Tianjin, China, between Thomas Frank, managing director for Heidelberg Asia Pacific, and AP Selvarajan, managing director of Sri Kaliswari Fireworks.

The facility will showcase equipment including the MK Ecocut 106 CS die-cutter, the Diana Eye inspection system and the Bestfold FB II 1000 folder-gluer. Heidelberg said the investment is designed to give print and packaging converters in India hands-on access to live production capabilities and technical training.

Samir Patkar, president at Heidelberg India, said the project reflects the company’s focus on market engagement. “We are delighted to launch this training centre. It will enable us to support customers across India with hands-on experience and technical expertise. With packaging on a rapid growth trajectory, this initiative strengthens our commitment to innovation and capability building.”

Sri Kaliswari operates printing and packaging as part of its group portfolio alongside fireworks, education and hospitality. Its print division supports packaging for the fireworks business, including a Speedmaster CX 104 four-colour press and a Diana Easy folder-gluer installed in recent years.

Selvarajan said the agreement opens access to technology for regional manufacturers. “We are truly happy to be associated with Heidelberg and MK Masterwork. This partnership marks a significant milestone in our print journey, and we look forward to bringing world-class technology and expertise to the print and packaging community.”

The centre is expected to function as a hub for live demonstrations, training, and collaboration programmes as packaging continues to expand as a sector within the Indian print industry. Heidelberg India plans to involve customers nationwide through scheduled sessions once operations begin.
