At Pamex 2026, Hariram Engineering, the Surat-based manufacturer of foiling and post-press machines, has sold four units of foiling machines with cast-and-cure and two units of roll-to-roll label UV foiling machines. The company has also launched a new digital screen mesh printer. Hariram's massive stall in Hall 2 is hard to miss and an instant attraction drawing massive crowds.

Hariram is showcasing its full range of advanced foiling solutions, including a cast-and-cure machine, which Mayur Vasani, operations head, Hariram Engineering, described as “a new culture in the printing industry”, and a UV foiling machine that eliminates wastage by operating without reverse-forward movement.

“We have finalised one cast-and-cure machine order at Pamex 2026,” Vasani said. “Four to five more deals are expected to close today, as customers we met yesterday are in the final stage. Overall, we are expecting business of around INR 4 crore from the event.”

Over the past 12 months, UV foiling machines have been the company’s strongest performers. “Every month, three to four UV foiling machines are going into the market,” Vasani said. The newly launched cast-and-cure model has also seen early traction.

“This year, we are planning to sell at least 50-plus cast-and-cure machines,” he added.

Hariram Engineering positions its cast-and-cure process as a cost-effective alternative to imported systems. “Earlier, this process was done on machines like Scodix and MGI, where chemical costs were INR 7,000 to 8,000/kg,” Vasani explained. “Our chemical cost is around INR 1,100 per kg because we manufacture it locally.”

He added that this significantly reduces per-sheet costs. “What used to cost around INR 70 per sheet now comes down to INR 7 to 8 per sheet. That makes this technology accessible even to mid-sized printers.”

The machines cater to post-press applications across offset printing, packaging, labelling and premium box segments. Looking ahead, Vasani said the company’s focus is shifting increasingly towards overseas markets. “Right now, our focus is more on out-of-country placements, and we are getting good enquiries globally.”
