Under the banner ‘Where ink meets intelligence’, GSE (Stand 3A-47) will present ink dispensing and software innovations designed to simplify ink workflows for packaging printers at Labelexpo Europe 2025. The solutions aim to enable efficient operations, reduce makeready times, and create a more responsive, compliant production environment.

Among the innovations on display are a new software package, GSE Advanced Reporting, for automatic ink usage and availability reports; a new manual ink dispenser for less frequent printing needs; and a touchpad-enabled opportunity for stand visitors to digitally design and visualise their ideal ink workflow.

GSE Ink manager (GIm) software helps converters work more efficiently with inks while leveraging resource data for better strategic decision-making. The software tracks ink ingredients through complex workflows, such as blending and press-return cycles typically used for spot colours. Its suite of optional modules offers automation and traceability solutions at each workflow stage – from purchasing and inventory management to colour recipe creation, dispensing, and press return reuse. This enables converters to meet colour requirements more reliably and quickly, while reducing admin tasks and human error. Capable of integrating with MIS and ERP platforms, the software also gives better visibility into ink consumption, availability, and cost data, improving planning, and reporting.

A key highlight at the show would be the GSE Advanced Reporting, which automatically generates detailed reports on ink usage, regulatory compliance, and forecasting. GSE’s Colorsat dispensing systems deliver precise and repeatable spot colour accuracy on demand. Capable of reducing ink consumption by up to 30%, they help minimise waste and carbon emissions while improving turnaround time. Designed to comply with food safety standards, Colorsat automatic dispensers offer features such as direct connection of ink ingredient barrels, drip-free barrel exchange, and hands-free blending. Customisable based on ink set and volume needs, the modular design of Colorsat dispensers ensures an efficient footprint, easy expansion, and adaptability to changing requirements. The Colorsat Switch, featured at the stand, includes exchangeable buckets and drums, as well as a compact, modular waterfall frame.

Also showcased will be the manual FCS Dispenser for lower-frequency printing, and the Colorsat Solo, designed for dispensing individual ingredients, both sharing a single weighing scale and computer interface. Visitors can also experience an augmented reality (AR)-powered virtual ink room, featuring interactive touchpads. This allows users to design and visualise their custom ink workflows and explore how they can be integrated into existing operations – supporting faster, more confident decision-making.

Maarten Hummelen, marketing director and co-owner of GSE Dispensing, said, “Control over ink processes and better knowledge of your resources – whether working with spot colours or expanded gamut – are essential for fast-response, sustainable packaging print operations. At Labelexpo Europe, we’ll show how tailored dispensing systems and integrated ink management software enable repeatable colour accuracy, optimal resource use, and the seamless data sharing needed for intelligent, strategic decisions.”
