Imafuku: Fujifilm has installed four machines in the quick printing and photo segments

The high-speed colour production digital press - the Fujifilm Revoria PC 1120 - can print six colours in a single pass. “It has a unique capability of creating overlays and underlays using a combination of metallic colours like gold and silver in addition to having white ink and clear ink plus the gamut extension colour of pink. The system also has an option of a unique textured toner that handles the textured paper smoothly,” says Kentaro Imafuku, head of department for graphic arts business at Fujifilm India.

The Revoria PC 1120 supports a broad range of stocks – 52 gsm lightweight paper, and up to 400 gsm heavyweight paper. It is capable of handling different sizes ranging from a minimum of 98x148mm up to 330x1,200mm in simplex printing and 330x729mm in duplex printing. The machine can print at speeds of up to 120 A4ppm and the printers use EA-Eco toner with very small particle size for “high image and fine line quality” at 2,400dpi.

Fujifilm India has installed four machines since its launch, both in the quick printing and photo segments.

Imafuku says the Revoria PC 1120 comes with many advantages. “The customers can produce large volumes given the fast speed of the machine and the automation features that ensure the highest level of productivity on a variety of media types and sizes up to 47-inches. It can also create high value for customers. With its single-pass technology that allows overlays and underlays with special colours of gold, silver, white, clear, pink and textured, customers can create high-end unique applications with embellishments that can fetch a premium in the market.”
