“The idea to manufacture vacuum pumps was suggested by Falcon’s top customer, the Ballabhgarh-based web offset manufacturer, The Printers House. We started a door to door campaign with 10,000 printers in Delhi. Around 80% of the printers in North India know us because of the groundwork we undertook in the initial years,” said Singh.

Today, Falcon has 42 models of pumps in its range. The latest introduction being the dry vacuum pumps. “We have around 14 models of dry vacuum pumps, including models that are in use in Europe and US markets,” Singh added.

“Dry vacuum pump is the latest development in the vacuum pump industry. The pumps offer a number of advantages over the traditional vacuum pump design since it is oil-free and is considered environment-friendly."

The company manufactures over 170 units of pumps each month.

Singh also shared that with mergers and technical collaborations emerging as a potential model of diversifying the business, he will consider the merits of the offer, if the company is approached. The company will be exhibiting these pumps at upcoming trade shows too.

“There aren’t many pump manufacturers who understand the exact needs of the international press manufacturers. We have been in this field for over 20 years and therefore understand it better. However, to fully support major international press manufacturers, we will need to triple our production capacity,” he concluded.
